Wireless Bridge Scoring with Bridgemate Pro
A small (6x8 inches) box - a Bridgemate - is placed on each table
At the beginning of an event, players identify themselves, thus saving computer entry of names
The contract and tricks made are simply and quickly keyed into the box
Scores are transmitted to a computer which updates all scores (including across sections)
Advantages over using travellers
- Results are available as soon as the last board has been played
- Throughout the event, all players can see their provisional ranking on a television or Computer Screen monitor
- On each board the Bridgemate shows an estimate of your board % based on all results so far - including across sections !!
- Reduced errors
- The terminal shows pair numbers, orientation and boards due helping avoid mis-pairings, forgetting to arrow switch etc.
- The terminal insists EW checks the details of the result
- You enter Tricks made - the Bridgemate calculates the score
- ScoreBridge looks for wide variations in contracts and prompts relevant checks
